“J*Davey this. J*Davey that” ….that’s all I seemed to hear early 2007. Now that I’ve finally had the pleasure of catching MANY shows and purchasing the album I now know what the fuss is all about. I won’t give you their life story but I will say that there is NOTHING like seeing them LIVE. They’re an eclectic mix of Surf/New Wave/ Fusion with a bit of Funk, Soul & Hip-Hop influence. I got to see J* Davey a few months back at the Roxy, along with Pacific Division (another group you’ve gotta peep) and was pleasantly surprised!! Definitely in a class of their own!! If you have the chance to see the show I strongly advise you to (well worth the $8 bucks)…believe me you’re in for a real treat…J*Davey’s on a whole ‘nother leve!!
